Train a child in the way he should go...
This is a verse that I have on my home page and I see it everyday that I work on this website but this week I've been thinking about it more. It's a simple concept but too many parents get this wrong. You have to start disciplining and teaching a child why we should do the right thing at a very young age. I've seen parents that try to "lay down the law" when their kids are almost teenagers and it does absolutely no good. Raise them correctly now and be friends with them when they are older.I know it's hard to be consistent with disciplining 2 and 3 year olds, but stay strong moms. I have at least one struggle with my 3 year old everyday but no matter how frustrated I get or exhausted I am, I know I have to stay on top of things so he doesn't think he has won. When a child feels they beat you then they will show a lack of respect. Hopefully this has encouraged at least one mom to not give up on the battle of training our little ones. Shannan
